Because of the development of the rubber industry, there are more and more waste rubber, if it is not recycled, it will not only cause serious pollution to the environment, but also a waste of resources. Take solid rubber tires as an example. What can used solid rubber tires be used for?

1. Rubber concrete

Rubber concrete is a new type of environmentally friendly civil engineering composite material. By mixing rubber in ordinary concrete, the purpose of recycling used solid rubber tires and turning waste into treasure is achieved. At present, the application of rubber concrete in pavement engineering is more, such as parking lots, tennis courts and housing foundations. According to relevant research, compared with ordinary concrete, rubber concrete has good shrinkage performance, impact resistance and fatigue resistance.

2. Rubber granules, rubber powder and other recycled rubber raw materials

The waste rubber is made into reclaimed rubber raw materials such as rubber particles and rubber powder through a certain process, and then the rubber particles and rubber powder are used as raw materials to make new rubber products for reuse. However, the performance of this recycled rubber will be reduced in various aspects, and it can never be used to produce solid rubber tires and other products used in high load and harsh environments.

3. Asphalt modifier

In road engineering, the use of waste solid rubber tires and plastics for asphalt modification can not only improve the performance of asphalt and extend the service life of asphalt pavement, but also provide a reasonable way to utilize waste rubber.

4. Cracking and recovery:

At present, the cracking technology of used solid tires mainly focuses on thermal cracking, vacuum cracking, catalytic cracking, etc. under an inert atmosphere. For example, through the thermal cracking recovery process, three types of recovery products can be obtained: gas, liquid, and solid. The gas obtained by thermal cracking can be used as fuel; the liquid product can be secondary purified by a certain separation technology to prepare gasoline and other fuels; solid product As a carbon material, it can be used to produce carbon black, and can also be used as a carbon electrode material.
